Job Description:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Essential Must have 5+ years experience in electrical troubleshooting.
Must have a good understanding of Allen Bradley PLC Controllers.
Must have a good understanding of motor starters, relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, etc.
Must have a good understanding of gearboxes, sprockets, chains, "v" -belts, and welding/cutting.
Must be able to lift material up to a weight of 50 lbs and have to ability to operate the hoist for heavier items.
Must help with preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
Must be able to physically stand, stoop, bend, twist, turn and reach overhead. Repetitive motion is often required.
Must be able to operate the maintenance computer system for time entry and work order generation. Must document at least 80% of daily time to the work order system.
Must be able to respond to equipment breakdowns and failures on the plant floor.
Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude as all candidates will be subject to skills testing.
Must be able to work in high ambient temperatures.
Must have required tools and rebuild parts as required.
Must be willing to further mechanical and electrical training by additional schooling.
Maintains a clean work environment. Must clean up after every job.
Notifies Maintenance, Supervisor and/or your Lead of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
Understands, observes, and complies with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy.
Performs all duties necessary to meet Government and Regulatory, SQF Institute, Co-Manufactures and Company requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
Informs Line Manager, Group Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Identifies and records any problems relating to food safety and the quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety and quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as Essential Possesses a thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP's and safety policies.
Effectively communicates with others.
Possesses the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
Possesses the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
