Full Job Description Overview:
Shoot Straight is a family of shooting sports retail stores and shooting ranges located throughout the state of Florida. Since 1979, we’ve specialized in helping our customers understand and purchase firearms for hunting, home defense, shotgun sports, target shooting, and much more.
Our staff members take pride in providing superior customer service, in their command of the products used in the shooting sports, and their applications. Responsibilities:
Gunsmiths and Retail associates create a safe and secure environment while educating customers and fulfilling their needs. Building and developing long lasting relationships with our customers is crucial.
• Effectively and efficiently diagnose, maintain and repair firearms from a wide variety of manufacturers.
• Maintain a high standard of cleaniness and organization in the Gunsmith Room.
• Installation of night sights or after market iron sights
• Installation, bore-sighting and zeroing optics
• Installation of after market parts like triggers, stocks, tactical accessories, etc.
• Shipping firearms to/from manufacturers or warranty repair centers
• Fixing or making safe stopped firearms on the shooting range
• Accurate record keeping of bound books/gunsmith tags

Candidate must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and be able to maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times while maintaining a friendly disposition.
Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Certified Gunsmith Certificate from an accredited Gunsmithing School
• Pre-employment drug screening and continued compliance with Drug Free Workplace policy
• Criminal background check
• U.S. Citizen or eligibility to work in United States
