Position Title : Assistant Marketing Director - ASTMKTDR
Supervision Received : Reports to the Marketing Director
Supervisory Responsibilities : Manages the team of marketing employees
Job Summary
The Assistant Marketing Director will support the Marketing Director on planning and executing communication campaigns. This position will work alongside members of management, internal departments, and Bank leadership to enhance the Independence Bank brand, promote our high value products and services, and assist in market expansion. The Assistant Marketing Director will manage and direct the marketing staff and assist in overseeing the effectiveness of the department activities.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to :
• Guide and direct employees within the Marketing Department to achieve marketing goals and objectives
• Coordinate meetings related to marketing throughout the Bank
• Oversee companywide sponsorship opportunities and ensure that all messaging and advertising is consistent with the Bank’s brand and message
• Coordinate with internal and external partners such as advertising agencies and vendors to create, implement, oversee and measure media campaigns for effectiveness
• Maintain the media schedule for each market within the Independence Bank footprint based on market needs and focus
• Oversee, monitor, and maintain all digitally owned media channels throughout the Bank outside of regular business hours
• Coordinate with internal and external partners such as advertising agencies and vendors to create, implement, oversee and measure media campaigns for effectiveness both with traditional and digital media
• Coordinate all aspects of various events from beginning to end
• Oversee all communication and advertising related to company events to ensure a consistent brand message
• Various other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director

Education and Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Knowledge and experience in a marketing related field. 2 years’ marketing experience preferred
• Management experience preferred
• Customer Service experience preferred
• Brand development experience preferred
• Digital Marketing experience preferred
• Project management experience preferred

Working Conditions: *
Indoor, environmentally controlled position with usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
Some travel will be required within the position when providing oversight to projects and events. This could require outdoor, uncontrolled environmental conditions including rain, sleet, ice, snow, extreme heat or cold temperatures.
