Operations - Driver - Hub

JOB SUMMARY: Delivers customer orders daily and provides high levels of customer service while performing job efficiently and effectively. Performs any other warehouse duties assigned by a supervisor or the operations manager when not making deliveries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Delivers material to customers in a safe and timely manner.
2. Loads and unloads own truck.
3. Establishes professional relationships with customer personnel when making deliveries.
4. Performs daily electronic pre-trip vehicle inspections to identify any truck defects.
5. Performs routine inspections for maintenance and safety checks of warehouse equipment.
6. Maintains clean and safe work area, including delivery vehicles.
7. Utilizes electronic signature devices on all deliveries.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs general warehouse duties when not making deliveries.
2. Participates in annual inventory preparation and counting process.
3. Performs appropriately related duties assigned by operations or warehouse manager.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Valid Class B license
3. Ability to speak, read, and write in English
4. Minimum age: 21 years old for CDL drivers and all other drivers that may operate a vehicle weighing more than 10,000 GVW, must be certified in accordance with DOT.
5. No more than 1 moving violations in last 3 years.
6. No more than 3 moving violations in last 5 years.
7. No "serious" violations in last 5 years.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE / CAPABILITIES:
1. One to two years of experience driving a commercial vehicle
2. Forklift Certification - Operator's License
3. Familiar with local geographic area
