Logistics Team Leader

We provide the most complete range of products for the transport refrigeration industry – from truck and trailer temperature control systems to rail and intermodal refrigeration.  We are currently seeking dependable, enthusiastic individuals to join our Materials team as a Logistics Team Leader 1.
Job Description:
As a Logistics Team Leader 1 you will be responsible for supporting the materials organization in a refrigeration manufacturing organization.  This position will be assigned to work in the materials department. This position works Monday – Thursday, ten hours a day with occasional overtime.
Responsibilities include:
• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
• Complete understanding of the materials process to include:
• Knowledge to secure trailer for loading/unloading
• Document, resolve turnbacks
• Process OS&D, file freight claims
• Following standard work for your area of responsibility
• Locating methodologies
• Knowledge to cycle count drive discrepancy to RRCA
• Knowledge to complete PI prep and execution
• Understand and execute all materials JDE transactions in area
• ACE
• Create standard work and work instruction
• Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies
• Strong leadership skills
• Knowledge to perform all job functions within your area of responsibility
• Train new employees, manage work flow and coordinate manpower
• Knowledge to perform incident investigations, EH&S audits, 5S audits and PIV observations.
• In compliance with UOI’s/POI’s affecting materials
• Coordinate special projects
• Effectively problem solve, communicate effectively and consistently
• Work with employees on the floor to ensure quality work
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified PIV Driver
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat.  This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds.*
• ACE Associate preferred
• Excellent computer skills required
