Job Summary
To provide support, assistance, and supervision to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community.
Responsibilities • Identifies and reports any suspected abuse or violations of an individuals rights
• Provide support, assistance, and supervision to meet the needs and goals of the individuals according to their plans
• Ensure that each individuals training, behavior and support programs are being implemented and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure that the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals are protected at all times
• Provide a reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice
• Follow positioning schedules, uses the equipment and assistive devices per plan
• Provide the level of assistance for diet, texture, and equipment
• Ensure all homes, outside areas and vehicles are well maintained and organized
• Employees are required to communicate, both orally and in writing with staff and others regarding medical care, supports, and services. This requirement includes the ability to communicate in English including medical terminology
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Must possess a Driver's License which meets company for approved driver status
• Computer skills required
• Minimum one year of experience working in the human service field if by work location
• Proficiency in the English language (both written and verbal) is required as this job entails direct care of adults and children receiving services. Verbal and written skills in English
Days & Hours
Full time, Part time & PRN. 3 shifts available. Monday-Sunday; 8:00am-5:00pm. 40 hours per week
