Job Summary:
The Resource Optimization and Escalation Manager III will work closely with the Global Resource Operations Director, Region Resource Directors, and Resource Managers to optimize people and tooling resource utilization globally for the HD Gas Power segment. Will be accountable for responding to resource gap escalations and facilitating cross region sharing. Will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Will also integrate and contribute to development of processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and contribute to long term business planning and the overall business strategy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Produce, design, and implement resource optimization methods which reduce defects, attain world-class levels of quality, and deliver process capability improvement
• Influence the local resource management teams to optimize field resources and provide new solutions to ensure planning and timely delivery
• Manage global mid-term work force planning, including people and tooling resources, for gas power heavy duty segment through region partnership on SII purchasing, hiring and development plans
• Drive accountability across gas power heavy duty segment around outage readiness / crew score rigor
• Work closely with Resource Operations Director, Resource Directors, and Resource Managers to investigate, analyze, and resolve segment issues in a timely manner
• Ensure global escalation and risk assessment around critical resource gaps as well as systems usage in resource assignment
• Participate in recruitment and hiring activities by working with the recruitment team to fill positions needed for operational success
• Partner with Resource Manager to establish and implement training programs and career development plans to meet the developmental needs of all segment competencies in the region
• Partner with the region Resource Directors and OSS / APM optimization teams
• Travel may be required
• May be assigned other duties to help drive our vision and align with our organization's core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in management, engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in the power generation industry
• 4+ years of experience in resource management
• English proficiency required
