Job Description
LINE ASSEMBLY
Department:
Reports to: Production Supervisor
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
Job description includes but not limited to the following: The Food Production Line worker’s day-to-day tasks may include: measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery, operating production line equipment, assembling goods on a production line and packaging finished products. This person is also responsible for being part of a team that works efficiently and effectively to meet production goals. Reports to Production Supervisor.
Key Job Responsibilities • Seafood, meat, and produce processors may perform the following tasks:
• Inspect seafood on conveyors and sort for size and quality
• Load and unload raw or pre-packaged products
• Maintain the cleanliness of machinery and the general working area
• Fillet fish
• Scrape skin and pick blood, meat and other waste from seafood
• Pack and weigh seafood, meat, and produce and count packs before freezing
• Pack frozen seafood blocks into cartons
• Operate and feed machines which slice, peel, skin or crumb seafood, meat, and produce
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
• Experience in Food Processing industry is preferred
• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling; verbal and some written communication
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to perform repetitive work, stand, bend, twist and constantly work with your hands.
• Must be able to work well in close proximity with others.
