Contract Recruiter:
Should be located in Southern or Central Florida (West Palm Beach, Miami, Boca, Tampa)  time zone hours – supports California, Hawaii, Oregon, Western Canada - 100% Virtual

Covanta provides essential services to millions of people across North America and abroad. We strive to continue providing the highest caliber of sustainable waste and energy solutions to our customers in a safe and inclusive manner. Your primary focus is to more effectively support our facilities needing higher volume support (West Coast, Hawaii and Western Canada) to reach this goal. Although this will be a remote role, you will need to be geographically aligned with at least one of our facilities – ideally Southern California or Hawaii.
What You’ll Do:
The Talent Acquisition Sourcing / Recruiting Specialist will be an addition to Covanta’s highly engaged Talent Acquisition team to support our growing needs. You will be part of a team of passionate and collaborative professionals responsible for a variety of talent acquisition activities to hire high potential talent at different locations in US. This is a temporary/consulting role supporting our Energy From Waste (EfW) facilities.
You will supplement Covanta's talent sourcing footprint, build talent pipelines, expand the reach of Covanta's employment brand and support talent acquisition operations in a high volume, high touch environment. Amongst other things, you will:
Support talent sourcing needs, with a keen eye for diverse and underrepresented talent, across different functions, levels and geographies
Partner with members of the hiring teams to develop effective job posting and sourcing strategies
Identify and develop candidates pipelines primarily through self-sourcing and low fee resources
Screen and deliver a slate of qualified, diverse candidates within the target compensation range
Provide exceptional experience to the candidates and your internal/ external partners
Be a super user/admin of the ATS / RMS
Provide timely metrics, reports and status updates on assigned requisitions/ projects or as requested
Maintain a sound understanding of Covanta’s value proposition, business and hiring needs, industry trends and niche sites
Participate in industry, diversity, veteran and college hiring events
Partner with other team members on projects, innovative sourcing strategies and creative cost-effective solutions
Other Talent Acquisition & HR initiatives, as needed
Work in compliance with industry rules, regulations and practices
Maintain confidentiality, accuracy and keep sensitive information secured
Be an effective, efficient and engaged partner
Position Requirements:
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, however we will consider candidates with commensurate experience who possess an Associate’s Degree.
At least 3 years of full lifecycle Talent Acquisition and Sourcing experience in an industrial or manufacturing industry. Prior Agency experience, in addition to Corporate environments, would be preferred
Experience supporting industrial, engineering, operations, technical roles.
Strong working knowledge of one or more Enterprise level ATS tools is needed (Workday Recruit / Taleo / ICIMS / etc…)
Customer service orientation with ability to build strong relationships and credibility with hiring managers and candidates
Strong results orientation, with high sense of urgency
Solid knowledge of current OFCCP and associated laws pertaining to recruiting is required as well as an understanding of HR policies / practices
Demonstrated expertise in direct candidate sourcing methodology and practices with a keen eye for Diversity and Inclusion.
Expertise with associated talent sourcing technologies and resources (passive networks, user communities, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Diversity and affinity sites)
Ability to drive sourcing campaigns independently and manage multiple searches effectively
Ability to motivate candidates, sell the company brand and career opportunities
Ability to work independently, multi-task in a fast paced, matrixed team-oriented environment.
Must be comfortable working in geographically dispersed team
Ability to adapt to changing business priorities
