Job Description:
This position is part the Payroll Global Process Owner (GPO) team, charged with promoting a ‘process excellence’ throughout the Johnson & Johnson Payroll organization globally.
The position will work with cross-functional business representatives and lead the Process work on the Payroll and Time & Attendance Process transformation. This position is considered a ‘subject matter expert’ in Payroll and Time Business Process Management, equipped with the tools and methodology to successfully complete process improvement projects. As a senior-level contributor, you are expected to perform tasks related to discovery, optimization, standardization, design and documentation of Payroll and Time processes and their systems adoption globally.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Process Lead for Project Galileo to develop and implement Global Payroll and Time & Attendance Processes
• Lead process initiatives driving effectiveness, harmonization, and standardization
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Lead Continuous Improvement sessions by analyzing current state processes, use problem solving and productivity techniques to clearly show the optimized process definition
• Document detailed process maps and Desktop procedures in accordance with the Payroll and Time & Attendance taxonomy
• Facilitate system and process requirements workshops and deliver the requirement documents for all Payroll and T&A System implementations globally
• Partner with Human Resources, Finance and Contact Center Process Owners to fine tune handoffs between Payroll, Finance. HR workstreams and Contact Centers in a 3-tier model
• Work closely with Compliance to ensure adherence of Payroll processes to Corporate Internal Audit and Compliance requirements with respect to User Access, Audits, Reconciliations, SOX controls, Key controls, Operational controls.
• Provide Process guidance and oversight to special projects and initiatives within Global Services organization
• Partner with the Service Delivery Organization to understand the needs of the Payroll and T&A SME in country, and collaborate with Global Services to enable technology solutions
• Define and enable Performance Dashboards and reports for Service Delivery Organization, and measure the success of the run state organization against Key Performance Indicators
• Define metrics to successfully quantify the impact of enhancements and improvements to the organization
Compliance and Strategic Thinking:
• Identify strategic initiatives and prioritize global services requests to provide continuous improvement to processes, projects, and information.
• Provide guidance, direction and expertise related to the Payroll and Time taxonomy.
• Partner with compliance to elicit SOX and Operational controls and apply within defined processes along with identifying tools to support how controls are managed.
Organization Development:
• Continuously evaluate that Service Center’s mission, vision and operating strengths aligns with and/or stays ahead of Johnson & Johnson’s growth patterns.
• Design programs to enhance Payroll Service Center team performance to improve effectiveness and efficiency and support strategic direction.
• Develops, coaches and mentors new team members.
• Sets annual goals and develop effective career and development paths.
• Recruit and hire staff as appropriate.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of a 7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, HR or related field is required.
• Experience with payroll operations leadership and/or payroll process and implementation is required.
• Strong functional knowledge of Payroll and T&A processes is required.
• Experience leading continuous improvement efforts using facilitative leaderships skills coupled with Process Excellence tools and techniques to achieve business results is required.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail is required.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently is required.
• Ability to be flexible with your work schedule when the project requires it and meet strict delivery dates is required.
• Candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership, delegate when necessary, and foster collaborations between peers is required.
• Candidate should have a proven track record and an ability to create positive relationships with diverse functions. Must be able to build interdependent partnerships is required.
• Motivated to stretch goals, challenge the status quo, and a desire to look for continuous improvements is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex information in a succinct, clear manner to all levels of the organization is required
• Experience influencing without authority and must be comfortable navigating the ambiguities is required.
• Proficiency in Flowcharting tools, Presentation tools, Data Analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Products and SharePoint is required
• Experience with Six Sigma/LEAN/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification is preferred.
• Systems savviness with prior experience with Salesforce, ERP Payroll systems, T&A systems, Workday is preferred
• The position requires working with Global teams in NA, EMEA, LATAM and ASPAC time zones.

• This position can sit out of New Brunswick, Tampa, Prague, Bogota or Manila.
• This position may require up to 20% domestic and international travel.
