South Bay Hospital is currently accepting applications for a Dietary Clerk on a part-time basis in our Food & Nutritional Services Department.  Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager, you will be responsible for patient menu management, tray assembly, tray delivery, and communication of patient nutrition needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Distributes and manages patient menus. Assists patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet orders. Offers alternatives to menu as allowed in accordance with dietary restrictions, food allergies, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Assembles patient trays in accordance to therapeutic dietary restrictions.
• Delivers patient trays ensuring patient safety.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Assist with cleaning duties in the kitchen and nourishment rooms.

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 6 months food service experience preferred, previous  experience in hospital food services preferred
