RN - NICU Internship - January 2022 - St. Joseph's Women's Hospital (Deadline 8/9/2021)
This position is for new RN's or experienced RN's with little or no NICU experience.
This program is for the care of neonates with complications of prematurity, congenital anomalies or other disease processes.  Preceptorship includes 16 - 26 week of clinical experience; length determined by the individual needs of the intern.
The internship will start January 2022.
- Level III NICU
- Comprehensive program of study based around each body system including care and treatment of a diverse group of illnesses/genetic issues involving each system
- Multidisciplinary classes include developmental issues and family-centered care; instructors are professionals in their fields
- NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications included in the program
- Clinical experiences provided during the didactic portion of the internship
- A staged orientation of set skills, priorities and organization - You will be alternating between day and night shift during your internship.
- Once the internship is complete, you will be working NIGHTS (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- You will be ask to sign a contract that you will stay in the NICU for two years from the completion of the program at a full time status.
The Clinical Nurse Resident cares for a group of patients with the direct supervision of a preceptor.  Collaborates with the preceptor and demonstrates understanding of the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.  Assignments are completed with increasing competence and responsibility.
