Full Job Description DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dependable claims customer service representative able to handle all confidential information in accordance with HIPPA requirements following departmental guidelines. Ideal candidate will have professional written and verbal communication skills, follow up and customer service skills and have good time management skills and the ability to work effectively with other departments.
Do you have Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail? Do you have claims or customer service experience? Are you good in general math and data entry?
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Contacting providers/billing departments regarding claims.
• Confirming if scheduled exams have been performed.
• Receiving and handling inbound calls from providers, members and/or clients.
• Providing claim status information to providers, members and/or clients.
• Providing accurate information on all inbound and outbound calls.
• Assisting all callers with any claims related issues they may have.
• Handling confidential information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Providing exceptional customer service while facilitating effective communication on all calls.
• Verifying member eligibility and reviewing member preauthorization(s).
• Following up with providers/billing office regarding outstanding or unresolved issues.
• Notating claims and referrals with pertinent details from inbound/outbound calls.
• Utilizing all resources to verify benefits and ensure claims are processed accordingly.
• Providing review of remittance advises for payment errors, denials and underpayments.
• Generating, printing and mailing/forwarding EOBs and remittances to providers.
• Generating, printing and mailing/forwarding claims forms to carrier and/or clients.
• Tracking trends, providing Claims Management updates on non-compliant providers.
• Working closely with the other teams in the department to resolve claims related issues.
• Addressing issues, clearing obstacles, in order to secure claims are received.
• Serving as a backup to the other teams in the department, when needed.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Claims or Customer Service experience (2 year minimum).
Compensation $17.00
Hours Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
