The Data Initiatives Integration Oversight leader will provide second line oversight of the Enterprise Chief Data Office's (ECDO) development of the data governance plan and data operating model.  This leadership role will manage teams to challenge the data program integration within the business, functions, and challenge of the development and execution of the data transformation plan milestones. This role will establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks. In addition, the role will lead teams in independently assessing risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees the execution of the ORM Framework through the lens of the Data Transformation, ensuring that operational risk is identified and managed to acceptable tolerance levels.
• Manages a global team providing independent challenge of the execution and delivery of milestones against the Data Governance Plan.
• Builds key stakeholder relationships to ensure comprehensive representation in the creation of pragmatic and executable strategies for improving Citi’s data risk posture.
• Works with colleagues across Global Functions, ICG and GCB to assess the ECDO’s governance of the Data Governance Plan implementation and Domain rollouts across core use cases.
• Demonstrates data/technology risk management thought leadership with respect to challenging the key technologies and practices adopted to build data capabilities in the businesses and functions.
• Facilitates accurate and appropriate reporting of operational risks to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Interfaces with Regulators on Data-related Operational Risk matters. Demonstrated experience in addressing regulatory concerns within data or broadly across IT risk disciplines.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years relevant experience in complex institutions. Deep experience in data/IT risk disciplines.
• Strategic thinker; must be able to look towards the broadest possible view of an issue or challenge; can easily pose future scenarios; can think globally; and can discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the future.
• Extensive experience in applying principles of operational risk management and delivering oversight in evolving and complex environments.
• Proven ability to lead across a large, global financial firm.
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills; sound judgment and demonstrated leadership skills.
• Acts as a role model for managing people, coaching, and serving as a mentor.

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
