Full Job Description South Tampa Veterinary Care is looking for veterinary technicians and assistants that want to be part of a busy single doctor practice. Duties include: schlep animals to and from cars; obtain, record and make sense of patient histories; collect blood and urine specimens; properly restrain animals for exams and assist in procedures; perform minor laboratory tests; run samples on Abaxis lab machines; prepare animals, instruments, and equipment for surgery; take proper radiographs; advise and educate animal owners (rinse and repeat); answer the phone and make appointments; receive and stock supplies; clean and disinfect the clinic. You must also speak with correct grammar, get to work on time and get along with the staff (Pre-Boomers, Boomers, Gen X, Y and Z’s) without drama. Salary commensurate with experience. Uniforms, yearly CE, PTO and pet insurance provided after defined time in grade requirements.
