Join a team of passionate thought leaders in a dynamic and collaborative environment! The Cognizant Microsoft Business Group's Intelligent Cloud team is growing fast and we're looking for our next Azure Infrastructure Consultant to join us.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
What impact will you have in this role?
In this role, you'll work on everything from short design and education projects to large scale digital transformation projects involving multiple the Cognizant Microsoft Business Group practices. You'll have the opportunity to lead projects but also be part of larger teams. And you'll be constantly challenged to broaden and deepen your skillset across cloud technologies.
What will you be doing day-to-day?
• Work directly with the Cognizant Microsoft Business Group clients to plan and design migrations to Azure
• Conduct workshop and whiteboarding sessions to identify requirements and explore design options
• Develop cloud governance plans using Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and the Cognizant Microsoft Business Group's: GO Digital Operating Model
• Use ARM, Azure Policy, Blueprints and other technologies as part of integrated deployment pipelines for new solutions in Azure.
• Contribute to internal R&D projects and participate in the broader community through speaking and/or blogging
What experience do you need to be successful in this role?
• Experience with at least one of the following cloud infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code technologies such as:
• ARM templates
• Azure Blueprint
• PowerShell
• Azure DevOps
• Terraform
• Experience with the following Azure technologies:
• Azure AD
• Azure Security Center
• Azure Backup
• Azure Monitor
• AKS
• Experience with on-premises infrastructure technologies
• Experience with SQL and PaaS a plus
• Any networking, security or competitive product experience such as Cisco and Amazon is a plus.
What personality traits and other capabilities are important for this role?
• Time management and time accounting is a must as this is a billable role for client delivery
What education and certification credentials are needed for this role?
• Has passed or is close to passing at least one of the Azure technical certification exams (AZ103, AZ300 & AZ301 or AZ400)
Does the role require travel?
• Travel up to 30% of the time might be required.
