Job Description
The Sales Engineer is responsible for fostering sales growth by proactively equipping the sales team members with product and process knowledge and training on an ongoing basis. The Sales Engineer reports to the Sales Engineering Manager and is responsible for the following essential functions, in addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards of the company.
Essential Functions : In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:
• Create and execute a sales training plan to ensure that all members of the sales team have the appropriate level of product knowledge to successfully conduct sales activity and close business
• Create and deliver highly personalized technical sales presentations and product demonstrations in conjunction with sales team
• Create and implement processes, materials and training in conjunction with Marketing, Product management, etc. that enable sales team members to be successful
• Create and facilitate a sales onboarding training program to ensure all new hires within the sales team receive in-depth, consistent training on Nextech products
• Create and implement a training plan for sales team members on internal systems and processes, including workflow and technical training on internal systems as necessary
• Ensure that sales team members are able to conduct demos appropriately and accurately as it pertains to products
• Represent our platform and products to customers and at events/trade shows
• Share customer insights with appropriate internal teams to drive action (product management, marketing, etc.) Advocate customer’s technical needs internally
• Monitor and modify all training programs to ensure up-to-date product information is included and accurate Conduct/facilitate release training in conjunction with the Product Management team
• Assist in creating certification process for product use/training in partnership with Product Management Team Incorporate salesforce.com knowledge/training as applicable into sales programs
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years of experience in product training and/or implementation High level of proficiency using Nextech products
• Ability to partner with internal resources outside of department in a collaborative manner
• Excellent technical product skills with an advanced ability to convey product information to others in a clear and concise manner
• Demonstrated collaborative and team-oriented attitude Ability to develop and manage initiatives to completion
• Demonstrated leadership and communications skills that support Nextech values and behaviors Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Working Environment:
• General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
• Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 35% travel.
• Periods of stress may occur.
Physical Demands:
• Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor.
