Job Description
This leadership role will develop, maintain and execute to a set of product roadmap goals for Nextech’s Practice Management system portfolio serving the Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Plastics Surgery and other specialty segments.  As the VP of Practice Management Platform, you will be in a key leadership role to drive Nextech into the next phase of its growth, through client-centered product innovation, industry insights and engagement and internal alignment to the vision for Nextech’s clinical platform and growth strategy.  You will collaborate with our internal and external stakeholders to combine insights from the industry, technology trends, competitive dynamics and regulatory developments to establish and evolve this vision and thus the product roadmap to support this.  The successful candidate will coach, guide and motivate the team of highly skilled product managers and analysts to prioritize work and execute to this vision and product roadmap deliverables, bringing a strong sense of what delivers value to our clients with an eye on Nextech’s growth strategy.
In this role, you will be able to bring to bear your hands-on experience in managing large provider practices and use, implementation or development of practice management systems and be able to apply these insights to Nextech’s prioritization and design decisions and work closely with users and internal stakeholders to gain alignment on these decisions.

Essential Functions: In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:
• Develop and maintain a roadmap that drives towards this vision and supports Nextech's organizational priorities
• Initiate and manage new and emerging initiatives that cross multiple product platforms
• E.g. Datamart, Integration platforms, patient portal
• Collaborate with the VP of Ophthalmology Product Platform and Elective Product Platform to establish and align on product mashup priorities - ensure dependencies are clearly identified and jointly monitor progress and take actions to course correct as and when required
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set product development priorities
• Coach individual product managers, directors and analysts and provide strategic and tactical guidance that will help them strive to be high performers
• Implement and manage continuous improvement around product operations, including tools and methodologies, process definitions, common vocabularies, and culture
• Lead business case development and able to draw on the knowledge of stakeholders to gain cross-functional alignment
• Develop, improve and maintain key product metrics
• Manage product governance processes that spans the Nextech organization
• Establish and maintain product ops disciplines across the product team
• Able to work effectively across the product and development teams, gain buy-in and support for new tools and processes
• Participate and collaborate in managing client escalations as and when required
• Work with HR to develop and maintain clear and concise job roles, titling and career progression plans
• Develop and maintain product org scorecard and metrics
• Work across the product team to establish and manage towards budgets
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing to provide inputs on messaging and positioning
• Collaborate with CTO and engineering team to ensure alignment on development capacity against major deliverables and jointly course correct as and when required
• As and when required, proactively participate and support a sales process and be able to be positioned as a thought leader with the requisite domain expertise and an expert in the relevant Nextech products
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• 10+ years’ experience in revenue cycle management and medical practice administration, with exposure to industry key opinion leaders and insights into the RCM industry, including its inner workings and trends
• 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position
• Past exposure to Practice Management systems either as a user or in managing, implementing, developing or consulting function is essential
• A commercial mindset that is able to translate industry and customer pain points into opportunities for Nextech
• Strong track record in developing and maintaining a highly collaborative relationship with internal stakeholders and able to employ a very consultative approach to gaining alignment across the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years in product management, including exposure to agile scrum disciplines and a track record in developing and strengthening product teams
• Affiliations with industry associations such as AAHAM, MGMA, PAHCOM
• Demonstrable ability to work with engineering teams, including being able to translate engineering issues and opportunities into business terms
• Able to tap into network of industry experts and opinion leaders

Working Environment
• Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
• Long-distance or air travel as needed –not to exceed 30% travel.

• Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel.
