The Corporate Systems Group (CSG), part of the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) organization, manages a vast portfolio of applications that support core business functions including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Fleet, Real Estate and more. We are seeking a dynamic, organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment to join our team.
The Technology Budget Manager will be responsible for owning and managing the complete and holistic CSG budget view ($400M+ annual) for capital and expense. This role must gain broad understanding of the functions and priorities of CSG and its business partners, and influence the entire team in order to keep spend to plan. This will require a strong ability to drive collaboration, promote transparency and build partnerships, at the organization (SVP/VP) and leader (Executive Director/Director) level. This role will be the primary point of contact, relationship owner and liaison between CSG and our FP&A partners.
Primary job duties will include:
• Develop, maintain and own capital and expense budgets spanning all cost types (employee, contract labor, statements of work, etc.) for the total CSG organization (SVP/VP level) as well as for the direct reports (Executive Director/Director level) of the organization leader.
• Create, present and share professional, executive-level reporting to leaders regarding budgets, actuals and outlooks for both capital and expense.
• Drive collaboration with delivery teams and points of contact to analyze budget availability.
• Seek, organize and bridge inputs from CSG business operations team for data processing expense, statement of work, temporary labor and outsourced functions data.
• Partner directly with the CSG demand management office (DMO) for planned and actual spend at the investment case and business case level.
• Partner with FP&A to evaluate variances between planned and actual spend, financial trends and anomalies.
• Monitor spend to budgets, identify potential deviations requiring leadership review; escalate as necessary to ensure on-target spend.
• Drive, plan and execute the CSG organization in planning exercises for ongoing and future year budget cycles.
• Own, create and present (when needed) content for financial leadership councils (capital leadership meeting, project council, etc.).
• Lead and/or contribute to special projects and organizational support tasks as needed.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in budget management for large portfolios, preferably focused on technology.
• Experience driving complex teams / programs to common process, planning, and procedure.
Even better if you have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, technology or a related field.
• Professional certifications (financial and/or project management).
• Experience with Google suite of tools (Gmail, google sheets, google slides, etc.).
• Good verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with team members, partners and stakeholders.
• Good presentation skills to all levels of management; ability to communicate complex concepts in a manner that is understood by varied audiences.
• Ability to prioritize efforts and tasks in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
