Summary:
The Executive Recruiter is responsible for effectively researching and building relationships with top industry and functional talent to fill existing and future leadership positions within the Company, primarily director level and above.  This position will build strategies which expose the Company’s attributes and opportunities to business leaders in a manner which courts this talent’s increasing desire to join Ashley.   This position builds and leverages a talent “rolodex” of ready now talent in alignment with future and existing company needs.  This position will execute and ensure white glove care from recruiting through selection, continually representing the best of our brand and aspirations.  The Executive Recruiter will focus on and fill leadership positions in lieu of recruiting agencies and success is measured by cost (lowest), quality (retention and performance) and speed (to fill).
Responsibilities:
• Effectively research and identify top talent through sophisticated research-based and relationship- based recruiting strategies
• Build and maintain relationships of value with top industry and functional talent so that when the time is right we are able to engage them immediately in serious discussion and consideration.
• Confer and consult with company leadership regarding forthcoming leadership talent needs, complex and confidential searches
• Attract and fully interview qualified candidates, forwarding only most qualified candidates to  executive leadership for consideration.
• Publish and communicate an “Ashley Target” book of prospective talent to Executives in alignment with talent needed for roadmap (6 mo-1yr.+ out)
• Update senior leaders on active candidate selection process through critical openings dossier and frequent real time communication.
• Maintain “Custody” of executive referrals (all levels), ensuring informational interviews occur and where appropriate they are aligned and included in interview processes.  Provide routine and personal updates to the executive so that they are in the loop on plans.  Manage process including guiding others in Recruiting, Hiring Management and Human Resources through complexity.
• Facilitate an exceptional interview experience for all senior level candidates.  Provide feedback to the interviewing team; facilitate the selection of the most-qualified candidates for hire, rationale and records supporting those decisions.
• Maintains strong knowledge of Ashley success profiles and Leadership assessment tools.  Ensure appropriate selection due diligence through providing interview approaches, including questions, that will uncover the attributes and experiences of Senior level candidates – so that hiring decisions are sound,  performance is as predicted.  Guide the employee through the onboarding experience.
• Leveraging appropriate intel sources to ensure overall cultural fit which may include eliciting and evaluating reference, recommendations and endorsements.
• Identify primary drivers most qualified candidates so that Ashley offers of employment are successful.  Ex.  Understanding what is most important to the candidate,  (salary non-cash, benefits, title, location, flexibility, etc.) Include wherever possible in the offer package or terms, pre-closing the leaders on requirements as well as the applicant.  Ensure appropriate due diligence in approvals is complete.  Extend offers of employment, ensuring accuracy of the offer letter and relocation agreement as needed.  Review and answer questions for the applicant before and at time of offer.
• Develop and implement – then manage unique management information (leveraging systems as available) to analyze best talent attraction methods and make improvements to the recruiting process as well ensure that Executives are well informed of facts and data that may assist them with effective decisions (i.e. compensation insight, overall package requirements of talent pipeline).  Ensures tracking of related metrics and measurements for Senior level recruiting and leverages that data to drive action as well as advise stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and implement HR policies and procedures related to the hiring process to meet organizational needs and ensure compliance with the Federal and State laws.  Focus especially on ensuring that a diverse applicant slate is targeted (representationally as well as in thought) and that all qualified applicants are considered and dispositioned soundly.
• Participate in on-site and off-site events related to hiring and recruiting and other companies activities which promote the over all brand and employment brand.
• Drive continuous improvement in Executive Searching for Ashley.  Continuously learn, unlearn and relearn in order to most effectively attract emerging and established leaders.   Share knowledge and techniques generously with others for the benefit of the overall Talent Acquisition function.  Stay abreast of current and emerging technology, sourcing tools and techniques.  Serve as Subject Matter Expert for HR partners relative to Senior Leadership attraction.
