Moffitt Cancer Center is recruiting for an Immune Monitoring Services Core Facility Manager The an Immune Monitoring Services Core Facility Manager position is responsible for management of the day-to-day operations and performance of the newly established Immune Monitoring Services Core Facility. # Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Promotion of a collaborative research environment that involves project design and consultation with Core users. Direct supervision of all core facility scientific staff. Administrative functions of the core including capital and operational budgeting, addressing management of staff including hiring, performance reviews, coaching and termination, core billing activities and vendor relationships. Development of new applications and technologies for the core to assist Investigators in the interpretation of data. Key responsibilities Develop and implement new assays, workflows and instrumentation to facilitate Shared Resources wide coordination of Immune Monitoring Services. Develop project specific workflows and project plans in support multi-core immune monitoring services Manage or delegate IMS section resources as required for scheduling, collection of data and related billing activities when supporting IMS services across several cores. Collaborates with Cell Therapy Core Leadership, Immune Monitoring Services staff, and Bone Marrow Transplant staff to develop and validate new processes. Actively participates in all related departmental and functional meetings In collaboration with the Cell Therapy Core and Quality Management Directors, ensures compliance with all State, Federal, and Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) regulation and licensure requirements. Root Cause Analysis: Will perform issue resolution and critically analyze or troubleshoot processes as needed. Manage CTC IMS section project queue and timelines. Maintain up-to-date website as a centralized resource of available IMS assays, SOP and services. Education/Experience Education: #Requires a Bachelors Degree in a CORE related field of study and 20 years of CORE specific direct experience (OR) Masters Degree in a CORE related field of study and 8 years of CORE specific direct experience (OR) PhD in a CORE related field of study and 6 years of CORE specific direct experience. Must have prior experience leading/mentoring less experienced scientist, preparing and maintaining budgets and administrative functions. Experience in core related technologies and instrumentation is required. Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative research relationships with others (core members, faculty and staff) and to contribute to ongoing research projects requiring core facility support and communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Experience in an academic environment preferred, however equivalent industrial experience is acceptable. Must be a technical expert in core specific technologies. Must have a track record that demonstrates technical contributions to grant proposals and manuscript preparation. Must have the ability to develop and implement new methodology or techniques documented by reference in publications or grant proposals.
