This position will report to the Global P2P Utility Head/NAM Operations Head.
Description/Responsibilities:
Manage the daily Operation and associated staff for the NAM Urgent Payment function that includes:
• Review and process same day urgent invoice payments that are received via the structured special handle mechanism.
• Ensure each invoice request are reviewed for compliance to the Citigroup Expense Management Policy and are processed within procedural guidelines and timeliness standards.
• Initiate wire transfers, when required, enforcing MPP (MIFT policy) and perform quality input based on invoice request.
• Manage and oversee the local check printing for special handle payments ensuring controls are met.
• Support the initiation of Canada based urgent payments invoice requests prior to business approval.
• Execute Urgent Payment daily payment runs ensuring quality on selected payment parameters.
• Perform expense policy compliance on Purchasing Card expenses as per procedural guidelines.
• Work closely with Service Desk to ensure all urgent inquiries and tickets are resolved timely that require invoice/T&E processing.
• Proactively work with key business units on determining proper workflow method for urgent payment requests and facilitate informational guidance on policy and practice
• Support and execute the Accounts Payable Escheatment preparation process as volumes dictate
Act as Global Process Owner for card products and services as they relate to the P2P Operations functions,  specifically, the Purchasing Card and V-Card products. Lead the determination of target countries for expansion and integration to RMO Operations working closely with the TTS team.
GPO’s General Responsibilities
• Owns the end-to-end process standards across all regions and countries, being fully responsible for its implementation, as well as the effective adherence to global standards
• Defines and executes the global process strategic agenda, including:
Designing a global strategy roadmap to advance operational standardization (e.g., process, procedures, tools, metrics)
Defining and documenting a digitization/tools enhancement global roadmap, and partnering with Digital Solutions on the design and implementation of solutions, including coordination of UAT testing as required
Driving global operations efficiency and productivity, identifying and sponsoring continuous improvement opportunities
Leading change management efforts to incorporate published changes to applicable corporate policies
Maintaining a global inventory of documented processes, procedures, exceptions, language and regulatory requirements
Leading conversations with strategic partners globally (e.g., TTS, Digital Solutions) in designing and implementing solutions to advance operations soundness and productivity
Partnering with global stakeholders (e.g., TTS, FRSS, Finance, BSS) to support the development of tailored solutions
Supporting Region RMO Leads and Region RMO Ops Heads with subject matter expertise to solve regional/local escalations, addressing root causes and tracking issues to closure
Establishing global common operations metrics, Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and partner with RMO Risk & Control team to define and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and applicable thresholds
Training RMO Ops staff to better assimilate and adhere to global standards
• Provides and presents periodic updates to senior management
• Ensures that connecting processes within end-to-end Purchase To Pay are designed effectively and efficiently to consistently deliver timely and quality-driven results against set targets (e.g., SLAs, internal ops targets)
• Co-develops and maintains Continuity of Business (COB) plan with Regional RMO Ops Heads, coordinating its testing periodically to ensure systems’ and teams’ readiness
• Builds and maintains relationships with Global Process Owners, Region RMO Leads, and Region RMO Ops Heads in an effort to constantly refine, improve and share working best practices globally
• Participates in industry forums to learn about and evaluate best practices, upscaling own subject matter expertise to further progress Citi’s operational practices
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10+ years of professional, diverse experience across the Global Shared Services industry, specifically within the Procurement and Accounts Payable fields, including experience with card products
• Strong functional understanding of purchasing through payment operations, industry best practices, global tools (e.g. P2P) and effective change techniques
• Demonstrated professional ethics and integrity in carrying out responsibilities to clients, peers, and franchise
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Skills and Competencies:
• Experience in supervising and overseeing Operations processing, particularly time sensitive environment
• Strong leadership, influencing and matrix management skills, with ability to motivate diverse groups of individuals and successfully present information to seniors and stakeholders for collaboration
• Proven ability to influence and affect end-to-end process change through indirect authority, and drive results with a high degree of accountability
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build effective relationships across functions, regions, and all levels of management
• Implementation skills to drive process standardization in a multi-cultural, cross-product environment
