POSITION TITLE: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH REPRESENTATIVE FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• High School Graduate/ GED
• 2-3 years administrative experience, customer service and/or public relations experience
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Knowledge and comprehension of PHQ-2, PHQ-9, and GAD-7 preferred
• Knowledge of medical and psychology terminology, mental health disorders and the need to practice confidentiality of medical records preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) must be able to read, write, speak and translate in both languages.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
• Work with Primary Care Providers, leaders, and clinical staff as a liaison in Warm Hand-Off of patients to behavioral health clinic.
• Greet and register all patients and collect necessary information, and copay
• Provide financial counseling to all patients and create the bills for their services
• ECW/EMR entry
• Responsible for data entry, processing referrals, report writing, and pre-authorizations
• Prepare deposit
• Organize all medical forms and update patient summary sheet at the time of each visit
• Schedule appointments according to established protocols.
