About this Opportunity
The Procurement Lead is responsible for the procurement and acquisition of goods and services for DTCC that deliver near-term procurement value and work to improve processes and drive efficiency. This position consults and advises business units or functions on the acquisition of goods and services of high complexity across multiple categories. It conducts industry research, benchmark analysis, competitive bids, and develops contracts according to procurement policies. It also reviews and analyzes category spend for sourcing or expense reduction opportunities.
What You'll Do
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and assist with the execution of annual Strategic Sourcing plans to include purpose, business objectives, and financials for each assigned category to achieve defined business goals.
• Leverage demand and buy levers to evaluate highly sophisticated category spend, identify cost reduction opportunities, and recommendations to support business objectives.
• Provide expert consultation for highly sophisticated new and renewal contracts, agreements, and leases.
• Execute highly sophisticated RF(x) (i.e., requests for information, proposals, or quotes) with pre-defined and/or new suppliers based on business unit requirements and funding in order to optimize the purchase of products and services.
• Review contract pipeline report for assigned categories and collaborate with the business unit to figure out next action on a supplier relationship.
• Partner with business unit and Finance to forecast for contract renewals.
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; raises appropriately
• Manages 5-7 people.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Sound Like You?
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications
• Highly specialized knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or other related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the legal environment to analyze impact of major/complex initiatives on the company.
• In-depth understanding of the Enterprise structure and business objectives.
• Must be knowledgeable in financial controls, insurance business concepts, systems and data processing concepts, and financial planning/analysis.
• Excellent verbal communication, written communication skills, and math skills required in order to negotiate with suppliers.
