Job Duties:
Create solutions, perform dilutions, and formulate and reformulate inks using analytical chemistry, GC/MS, NMR, FTIR, LC/MS, organic synthesis, carbohydrate synthesis, Spartan software and Matlab. Perform testing of inks and solutions by filling printer pens and printing on a variety of printer types. Perform analysis of materials and components utilizing standard chemical/laboratory instrumentation for R&D, product development and manufacturing activities. Perform standard physical analysis of solutions and inks and report results quickly and accurately. Operating and evaluating data from LCMS, LCMSMS, GCMS and GCMSMS instruments and CRM and LIMS. Determine methods and procedures for new assignments. Adherence to good laboratory practices in the areas of Laboratory Safety, Instrument Calibration, Instrument maintenance, Instrument troubleshooting and problem solving, Method Development, Laboratory Documentation (SOP), and Quality System Support (R&R).
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Chemistry and two months’ experience in position or two months’ experience in Chemistry or Research Assistant field.
Special requirements: Experience with analytical chemistry, GC/MS, NMR, FTIR, LC/MS, organic synthesis, carbohydrate synthesis, Spartan software and Matlab. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in the United States.
