Status/Schedule: Part-time position / Three (3) days per week
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting operations at The Florida Aquarium’s Apollo Beach campus.  Primary responsibilities include transporting water from the Channelside campus to the Apollo Beach campus, transporting water samples from the Apollo Beach campus to the Channelside campus, and assisting the CFC Site Manager with the general upkeep, maintenance, and repair needs of the Apollo Beach Campus facility/campus.
Essential Position Functions
• Start at the Apollo Beach campus, drive truck and trailer (with tanks) to the Channelside campus, and spend two (2) to three (3) hours filling the tank of water
• Haul water from the Channelside campus to Apollo Beach campus (drive vehicle pulling the tanks/trailer full of water)
• Unload the water into holding tanks at the greenhouses on the Apollo Beach campus
• Serve as currier for CFC water sample transport from the Apollo Beach campus to the Channelside campus
• Maintain cleanliness of CFC truck and trailer
• Maintain cleanliness of “public” areas of Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center (STRC) building
• Maintain cleanliness of STRC filter yard equipment, decking, and floor
• Organize and clean shed and storage areas
• Stock received packages to proper department storage areas
• Perform light landscape work (manual weeding/spraying)
• Pick up needed materials and supplies from local stores
• Other duties as assigned or required
Education Requirements and Technical Skills
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License with clear driving record required
• Must feel confident driving a pickup pulling a trailer full of water
• Ability to understand and follow directions in order to complete minor repairs and improvements
• Ability to complete training program on all facility equipment
