Job Description
The Director of Technology Solutions (DTS) will be in charge of implementing our technology solutions strategy & roadmap into clear and transparent results. The DTS will establish company technology plans for software growth in development, integration and back-end infrastructure. They will supervise software & system development and quality assurance processes as well as implement industry best practices in regards to compliance and monitoring.
The DTS will focus on maintaining and improving all technological issues in the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
• * Investigate and discover architectural considerations, such as web usability, site performance and database design, as part of the system design process
• * Research and assess implementation alternatives for new application features, feasibility and risk analysis
• * Participation in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from ideation to specification to release
• * Collaborate with external vendors to ensure alignment with company guidelines and industry benchmarks development and implementation of user interfaces
• * Create and maintain RESTful APIs and implement external API integrations
• * Contribute to QA to determine test plans, fix issues, and participate in the deployment process
• * Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency support issues
• * Collaborating with department heads, marketing, sales, and operations as advisor of all technologies involved with company
• * Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
• * Monitoring web analytics and making recommendations that align to business goals
• * Supervising quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests
• * Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
• * Maintaining network security with outsourced IT team
• * Developing and implementing disaster and emergency recovery plans including HIPAA
• * Supervising workflow of Support, IT (outsourced), Integrations & Development (outsourced) departments
• * Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
• * Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
• * Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
• * Studying information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
• * Representing company at conferences and networking events
• * Ensuring company's technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations domestically

Required
• * Proficient in PHP, Javascript, MySQL, jQuery, CSS and HTML
• * AWS Cloud infrastructure and technology experience related and relative to industry: AWS EC2, S3, SES, SQS, Lambda, and RDS (MySQL/Aurora)
• * Demonstrated attention to detail
• * Excellent written and oral communication skills
• * Be able to effectively self-manage time across multiple responsibilities
• * Knowledge of version control tools, and experience collaborating with a large team of developers
• * Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master's degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
• * Four+ years of experience in software development role, information technology role, or related field
• * Three years in management or leadership role
• * Proficient computer & software skills, including VPN management, CRM document management
• * Some overnight travel will be required at times (20-30%)

Preferred
• * Previous experience in the healthcare industry
• * Familiar running a NGINX and Apache web server
• * HL-7, FHIR, and/or API Integration build experience
• * VPN management experience
