Software Configuration Management -Analyst
US Citizen or Perm Resident ( Able / willing to roll to Direct Hire without sponsorship requirements )
•*6 Month - Contract to PERM
Must be willing to work “in office” in the Tampa, FL area…
• Software Configuration Management experience in an Agile environment and able to support the testing efforts.
• Candidate should understand the development direction, ask pointed questions of the developers when issues are found related to configuration management, and be able to test the products required for the company's needs.
• Moreover, the candidate should be able to work with other software and testing engineers to determine product strategy.
• He/she will have sole responsibility for the setup and management of source code.
Essential Duties:
• Experience with software code configuration management for complex IT projects.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Performs operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures.
• Create and complete Software Configuration Management Service Requests as assigned.
• Engages with strategic projects to ensure Software Configuration Management can deliver required functionality within project timeframes.
• Mentors the organization on Software Configuration Management services, concepts, policies, and procedures.
• Oversees the design, coding, and testing of reports as needed.
• Collects and reports metrics as required.
• Identifies and reports non-compliance situations.
• Performs Software Configuration Management audits as directed.
• Identifies Service Improvement opportunities.
• Review test results, identifies issues, and proactively works with the development team to resolve issues.
• Participates in all phases of the SDLC to ensure solutions fulfill the highest possible quality, performance, usability, and support criteria.
• Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks to support the business.
• Ensure that improved testing is always incorporated into the continuous delivery pipeline.
• Configure tools for various types of tests including functional, regression, and performance tests.
• Enhance the success of coded tests by providing a human eye and by anticipating failures.
• Improve delivery life cycle by completing tests faster and with greater accuracy.
• Increase confidence in software release quality by utilizing automated testing successfully.
• Remove barriers and bottle necks related to software release.
• Identify problems and issues quickly -- catch defects in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
• Strong ability to work with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or other Agile tools.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
• Ability to see far-reaching consequences and benefits of proposed solutions.
• Understand the big picture and be familiar with the ins and outs of entire application.
• Confident, self-assured, and ability to always think creatively.
Education / Previous Experience:
• Comfortable with reading and writing SQL statements.
• Work will be performed within an office environment with the team.
• BA or BS in Computer Science or Engineering desired.
• Experience with manual and automated testing of desktop and web applications desired.
