Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of the networks, including data network and security architecture along with supporting infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for architecture design, security, integration and management of network systems
• Provide ongoing daily support of Data network, Security, Voice, Video and Wireless systems
• Proactively identify needs for improvements, capacity changes and upgrades. Plan and implement upgrades and patches
• Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve faults in the operational network
• Maintain proper change management documentation for all hardware and software modifications
• Provide capital plan for corporate hardware and software replacement and growth
• Evaluates and recommend new and emerging data, voice, video, wireless and security technologies
• Define and manage the disaster recovery plan for the network and telecommunications services
• Negotiate and manage software and hardware maintenance contracts
• Produce reports and perform additional tasks as assigned
• Lead/Mentor junior network engineers team members
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• BS degree in computer related field
• Experience with access control list (ACLs), TCP/IP VLAN, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS), Quality of Service (QoS), IP routing, OTV, and VoIP protocols and technologies like SIP, MGCP, H.323, and PRIs
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting using Solarwinds, Wireshark, or similar products
• Experience with Security Information Event Manager (SIEM) and/or other tools used in network cyber security efforts like network vulnerability analysis or Netflow analysis
• Applicant must have experience with the design, provisioning and troubleshooting of WAN/LAN/WLAN and Security technologies
• Extensive knowledge of IPV4 and IPV6
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 and 3 Protocols including Spanning Tree, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
• Extensive knowledge implementing and supporting 802.1X, PKI, SNMP, RADIUS, SYSLOG, TACACS,
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco Routers ASR and ISR
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switches 39XX, and 93XX
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco ASA for VPN usage
• Extensive knowledge of SD-WAN technologies
• Extensive knowledge of Firewall and Security related technologies
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco Nexus line of switches
• Extensive knowledge implementing and supporting DDI solutions
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• CCIE preferred – R/S
• CCNP required –R/S, or Enterprise
