Job Requirements
The Activity Coordination Assistant 2 ensures the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center meets participant needs.
The Activity Coordination Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations.
Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
The Activity Coordination Assistant 2 schedules the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events. Plans, promotes and coordinates programs to provide members with a variety fitness activities.
Responsible for greeting patients, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility, reviewing new patient registration, and entering new patient information into the computer system at an outpatient care site. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.
Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma 2 years of administrative or related experience in a professional environment
• Proficient with Microsoft applications: Outlook Word, Excel and PowerPoint, CRM software, Demonstrated high-quality customer service skills
• Preferably in healthcare or high-end service business,
• Strong attention to detail; ability to manage many details related to data entry, scheduling, follow-up requests and file maintenance
• Ability to build strong working relationship, internally and externally
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and oral communication with potential clients and current personnel.
• Strong emotional intelligence,
• Speak to groups to; initiate and/or perform activity, lecture, and Conduct screenings as scheduled by manager
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences,
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous work with vulnerable adults or the geriatric population
• Experience in Community health outreach programs Nutrition knowledge
• 2 - 3 years of experience performing wellness and recreational activities in a geriatric setting.
• Additional Information: Must be agile, must be comfortable leading activities, must be computer proficient
• Must be able to set up all activities
• Must be comfortable being on your feet for 8 hours a day
• Must have pleasant phone voice, and be able to greet visitors when they come in.
