We heard you knock! Responsibilities:
• Design, lead and manage an organization structure that supports cross-functional research and insights, market and competitive intel, and agency/3rd party relationship management.
• Provide actionable, fact-based intelligence and insight on our strategic value target (SVT), market and competition.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Online Marketing, Channel Marketing and Product Management to develop learning agendas.
• Develop surveys, interviews, focus group guides and usability studies that can be conducted with either external partners or internal constituents.
• Select vendors and manage projects outsourced to third-party suppliers of primary and secondary research.
• Develop and implement processes, procedures and policies to improve data gathering, analysis and intelligence dissemination.
• Review, manage and add 3rd party data subscription data sources.
• Analyze and package quantitative and qualitative information for distribution.
• Establish “early warning” system for key audiences that identifies new market forces, new regulations and competitive landscape changes.
• Develop mechanisms to deliver information, including comparison grids, competitive profiles/snapshots and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain weekly/biweekly/monthly “MI bulletin” with specific KPIs and metrics for executives.
• Adopt and institutionalize standard analysis and assessment models (e.g. Porter’s Five Forces).
Education
• Bachelor’s degre.e in marketing, statistics, business or related field.
• MBA is preferred.
Experience
• 10+ years primary/syndicated research experience..10+ years data analytics, modeling and reporting experience.
• Highly organized with strong project management skills.
• Experience selecting and managing third-party research vendors.
• Comfortable working under tight deadline pressure.
• Able to take customer, competitor and market insights and weave them into critical sales/marketing/product deliverables.
• Well-versed in primary/secondary research methods, both offline and online.
• Strong communicator with demonstrated ability to communicate complex analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
