The ICG MSS Operations Control Oversight Lead Analyst  - NPAC will provide management & administration of the ICG MSS Operations Control Oversight's ICG O&T NAM NPAC Control function that is comprised of two AVP staff.  Includes reviewing and understanding the various Ops (and sometimes Tech) processes and controls associated with implementing new business (i.e., products, complex transactions, services, strategic investments) across multiple ICG O & T areas and determining the relevant controls in place and risks warranting follow-up, and coordinating with relevant Ops & Tech Areas to ensure their appropriate input.
The Operational Risk Sr Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the NPAC Control function & SharePoint ensuring all tasks met to deadlines set and documentation maintained current.
• Review and assess NPAC (New Product Approval Committee) documents produced by ICG businesses proposing new products or transactions. Identify impacted operational & tech functions, relevant support areas and SMEs.
• Identify & assess the risks and controls within the supporting processes/functions.
• Communicate and coordinate with, and challenge, impacted operational, tech, functional and support areas to determine if any risks, concerns, or conditions with supporting the NPAC.
• Manage and track communications with: areas engaged to identify issues with supporting NPACs; NPAC Coordinators; and Business/Transactors.  Maintain tracking of all NPAC assessments.
• Create and distribute qualitative and quantitative reporting associated with NPAC activity.
• Communicate results of assessments to Operations Control management responsible for presenting findings and approvals at NPAC meetings
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years in Financial Institution environment, internal operational audit or risk role, or equivalent experience identifying, assessing and/or implementing Operational Controls.
• General or specific knowledge of Markets, Securities Services and/or TTS/payment related operational functions and processes.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative.
• Strong communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Results oriented and tenacious
• Strong Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint skills
• Knowledge of SharePoint a plus
• Expertise in the following is beneficial: Fraud Awareness and Conduct Risk Management
Education:
• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
