Title: Claims Customer Service Representative
You'll Report To: Claims Support Lead
The Claims Support Representative will function in a team environment and share in responsibility for handling duties in support of the claim organization, including accurate processing of vendor invoices, assistance with securing policy information, handling of claim and general mail, dispatch, and claim settlement documents. He/she will also communicate with both external and internal customers as needed. The Claims Support Representative will work to ensure that internal and external customers have a seamless and easy customer experience during their time of loss.
What You’ll Do
• Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of notices, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve claims.
• Builds and maintain business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service so as to promote customer satisfaction.
• Communicates with customers, agents, and other partners verbally and in writing in a professional manner. Represents the company as the product coverage and statutory expert for our insureds, agents, and vendors.
• Maintains appropriate documentation on all claim files.
• Meets company service standards and effectively uses the diary system to remain current.
• Excellent communication and team player.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need to be a Top Candidate
Education : High School Diploma or GED required.  College Degree preferred.
Experience : One (1) to three (3) years prior experience in the insurance industry, preferred.
Knowledge : Specific knowledge in a homeowner's insurance and / or additional education would be preferred.
Your Environment
Working Conditions: Normal business office environment.  Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone.  The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers.
Travel: As required.
