In this role, you will collaborate closely with members of multi-functional teams to improve the way we do business and find new ways to exceed our customers’ expectations. RIS Operations is a diverse business operations organization consisting of motivated administrators, customer advocates, business consultants and accountants with a shared vision of succeeding together in building a world class team within MetLife.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize entry level actuarial skills to analyze data to forecast projected outcomes
• Utilize entry level paralegal skills to analyze, review, and interpret contractual and legal documents for usage on daily annuity administrative tasks
• Working independently, perform complex tasks around core processing and administrative functions of the business unit
• Perform high-value financial transactions in a consistently accurate and timely fashion
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and data integrity
• Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external clients, customers and business partners
• Respond to external and internal requests for information, including audits and Call Center requests
• Serve as point of contact for clients, third party administrators and/or external customers
• Execute special projects assigned by management within the allotted time frame
• Propose, evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Perform other duties as assigned or required
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of office support tools, core application systems
• Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Effective time management skills – balance multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer interaction skills
• Knowledge of Annuity & Investment Operations
Preferred:
• FINRA Series 6 or 26 Licensed where required.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Access.
