Full Job Description Position Summary
Works with production and lab staff to provide timely and accurate analytical data used for product formulation. Supports day-to-day activities and maintenance in the Laboratory area. Works with Laboratory Lead and Chemists to ensure completion of research and development tasks. Accurately communicates information between varying departments as needed. Reviews and tracks data and distributes it accordingly. Actively seeks out and solves problems as they present themselves.
Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks
• Sample preparation for analytical instrumentation including but not limited to UP-LC, HP-LC, GC-MS and qPCR
• Microbiological sampling and testing
• Sample requisition, inventory, and tracking
• Following company SOPs on sampling, handling, documentation, and distribution
• Assist in collaboration and interaction with third-party testing labs
• Assist in formulation and R&D as directed by Laboratory lead and/or Chemists
• Data collection, analysis, and distribution
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and environment
• Ensuring laboratory safety protocols are followed at all times
• Other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Lab Lead.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred
• Familiarity with Liquid and Gas Chromatography
• Proficiency with standard analytical lab equipment: Balances, Micropipettes, Ultrasonic mixer, Centrifuge, Autoclave, Fume Hoods
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, adaptability, and reliability
• The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift equipment and materials up to 30lbs
• Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Computer proficient enough to learn software used by analytical equipment
Additional Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must successfully complete a level II background check.
