RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II_CLINICAL LAB SCIENCE Science & Research Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Day Shift - Full Time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: EX E19 - 17.1000 - 21.3000
Research Associate II #The H. Lee Moffitt Cancer and Research Institute is a state-of-art facility in Tampa, Florida.# We strive to be the leader in understanding the complexity of cancer through team science and applying those insights for human benefits.# Be part of the cure by joining Moffitt#s team of 800 research faculty scientists, career staff scientists, postdocs, graduate students, and support staff dedicated to cancer research. # Position Highlights: Work with scientists to study genoproteomic features of Head and Neck cancers and their tumor microenvironment. Participate in the development of novel anticancer agents and improvement of existing drugs through innovative experimental design and technological method development. Work with a multidisciplinary team. # The Ideal Candidate: Must be highly organized and have experience with Cell Biology and Biochemical procedures. Must be able to perform biological experiments, troubleshoot, and think independently. Must have experience in small animal in vivo experiments. Must be dedicated to cancer research and have an interest in improving the care of cancer patients. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Must work well within a multidisciplinary team. # Responsibilities: Perform cell cultures, biochemical preparations, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, qPCR, cloning, and prepare samples for mass spectrometry and sequencing. Perform in vivo drug testing and small animal imaging for novel anticancer drug response. Analyze and write the experimental results in an organized fashion for presentation and publication. Participate in research meetings and discuss ongoing research. # Credentials and Qualifications: Bachelors# degree in a biology-related field One year of hands-on research experience required
