Position Summary: Sanitation Associate
As a Sanitation Associate, it will be your job to maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner; dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
•Sweep and mop slots, clean restrooms, break-rooms and offices in assigned areas.
•Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
•Record all damaged product on a damage control sheet.
•Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center.
•Maintain equipment daily; topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment.
•Record and report all damaged product properly.
•Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris.
•Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
•Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
•Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
•Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
•Able to stand for long periods of time
•Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
•Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications
•High School Education
•Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable
•Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
Skills and Abilities
•Able to meet production standards set by the company
•Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
•Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
