Position Summary:
This position is responsible for liaison and communication with Covenant Care referring sources, both individual practitioners and facilities. They will use a variety of resources to promote referrals to Covenant Care. Their goal is to ensure that all persons with a need for hospice, home health, MCCM, private duty, palliative care, memory care, Alzheimer’s care, choose Covenant Care.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of proven healthcare sales performance with a degree in marketing, business, public relations or related field, or a background in healthcare such as nursing, social work, or other patient-centered healthcare role preferred. The applicant must have strong communication skills.

Job Relations:
Reports to: Director Business Development
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The individual is responsible for developing referral relationships. This will involve communication with healthcare practitioners, physician practice offices, and facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals.
Responsible for generating referrals to Covenant Care.
Responsible for mentoring and training team members as requested or needed in marketing and sales objectives and tactics.
Serve as an informed home health/hospice/healthcare expert and patient advocate.
Develops ongoing relationships with and provides education for key personnel in referral source offices or facility settings.
Develops ongoing relationships with providers who refer, or may refer patients to Covenant Care.
Assures appropriate service recovery with operations team.
Provide education to professional healthcare referral sources.
Proficiency in Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software.
Demonstrate knowledge in laws and regulations related to marketing and sales in home health, hospice and healthcare and follow all policies and procedures of Covenant Care regarding inducement.
Collaborate with Volunteer Community Relations Managers and other team members for market coverage in community. Track and report referrals and changes in market environment related to referral disposition.
Achieve admission goals.
Support localized implementation of organizational growth campaigns and objectives in collaboration with operations leadership.
Collaborate with Home health and Hospice Operations Departments to achieve admission goals.
Communicate market environment, opportunity and plans to Operations Leadership.
Participate in continuing education to promote professional growth. Stays updated on medical news, changes in the healthcare communities and maintain licensure, if applicable.
Stays abreast of rules and regulations guiding Home health and Hospice care in facilities.
Informs Supervisor of changes/updates in facilities.
Develops and Achieves quarterly plans to generate referrals and meet admission goals in assigned facilities.
Provides education for physicians, social workers and other sources that may need to refer patients for home health and hospice services. Serve as a consultant to facilities regarding Covenant Care programs.
Demonstrates knowledge of statistical data and research tools used to assist in the development of marketing and growth initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required to comply with all Covenant policies, procedures and personnel policies, including those specifically addressing disaster preparedness and response.
Special Demands/Physical Requirements:
This position may sometimes require medium to heavy lifting. The position requires considerable time traveling in a motor vehicle and some weekend and evening work in connection with performing essential functions of the position.
