Tectonic is actively seeking an Assistant to the National Marketing Director for Telecommunications to work full-time in support of our Telecommunications Team. This position will be ideally based in our Phoenix, AZ Regional Office; however, we may consider candidates to work from our Regional Offices in Newburgh, NY, Richmond, VA, Tampa, FL or Newport Beach, CA.
This position provides a unique opportunity for fast-paced growth and professional advancement - this individual will work directly with our Executive Management Team and will be provided with the opportunity to assume the leadership role of the Director in 3-5 years.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develop and finalize proposals for Tectonic's nationwide telecommunication clients;
• Develop and monitor client and proposal schedules to complete all deliverables within established timelines, including identifying complex requirements that require additional input, and communicating schedules, timelines, and related updates to technical managers;
• Management of business opportunities and monitor contract requirements;
• Assist technical managers by identifying and pursing prospective clients, providing overviews of client needs, and assisting with decisions and pursuit of win strategies;
• Develop and implement creative sales tactics to generate viable leads for the Company;
• Assist with maintaining Client Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage prospective and existing client lists;
• Perform market research on industry trends and analyze data to assist senior management with strategic planning;
• Develop presentation exhibits and assist with preparing for client presentations as needed;
• Preparation and updating of collateral and marketing materials;
• Assist with on-boarding of vendors and resources to support project and client objectives.
• Conference and / or tradeshow preparation and participation.
Additional responsibilities may include communications with various other departments to procure necessary resources for the BD Department, CRM based data entry, producing proposal documents using office equipment, and all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• BS Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry;
• Effective proposal management skills, including planning, organization, problem solving, and resource management;
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite Programs with emphasis on InDesign, and Vision CRM software or equivalent;
• Ability to travel nationwide as needed for attendance at Professional Conferences and Tradeshow Events;
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a professional appearance, with the ability to act as a resource for and work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within a large organization;
• Must be self-motivated, organized, able to work efficiently, adapt easily, and be able to multi-task in a demanding atmosphere;
• The ability to work in a demanding, busy, professional atmosphere, independently or in a team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must handle and/or feel documents, materials, and/or equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally. Constantly, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and in person.
