Description/Job Summary
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the development and delivery of training in a variety of topics including Leadership & Management, Sales, Signode Products and Soft Skills. The Global Training Manager will interface with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external training suppliers to identify needs, develop and design content, and deliver training that will resonate with Signode's global audience. Drives engagement and participation by effectively communicating the availability of training resources and programs to global leaders and employees.

Essential Functions Statements
• Interfaces with leaders and teams to create training plans that will benefit Signode's broad global audience. Sets training priorities and manages training projects accordingly. Ensures timely delivery of training initiatives.
• Assesses needs, designs and delivers training programs. Identifies appropriate training delivery methods, such as instructor-led (ILT), eLearning, mixed media (videos, simulations, etc.) or blended solutions. Adopts new technology as appropriate for effective learning.
• Evaluates the need for partnership with external training providers based on resource availability.
• Schedules instructor-led training and markets training programs and resources to internal stakeholders and employees.
• Delivers "live" training through facilitation, presentations, and demonstrations. Uses a variety of instructional methods to engage learners of all types.
• Oversees the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and utilizes the technology to manage curricula, schedule ILT events, assign required training, and create and maintain online training and developmental resources. Works closely with IT to ensure accurate employee data is fed into the system. Coordinates external Signode customer access to training as appropriate.
• Researches and recommends third-party supplemental training and resources for the benefit of employee development. Manages suppliers, delivery of resources and tracks usage. Resources can include online training modules, eBooks, Audiobooks, expert talks, etc.
• Provides consultation and guidance to internal teams who are developing training, e.g. Safety, Quality, New Hire Orientation, Customers, etc. Recommends resources as needed.
• Formally and informally evaluates the effectiveness of programs.
• Ensures global training materials and delivery methods remain accurate, current, and up to date.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
• BS/BA degree or higher, preferably in Talent Development or Business
Experience/abilities:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in training and development, including needs assessment, instructional design, facilitation, and project management.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and teams. Multicultural experience or adaptability required.
• Able to effectively set priorities and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (estimated at 20%, including overnight travel)
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments, including process automation and end-of-line packaging a plus
Computer Skills:
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of LMS Systems
• Adobe Photoshop, eLearning development software (iSpring, Captivate, etc.) helpful
