Computer Scientist - Journeyman
Minimum Qualifications Summary
Certification & Education
• , Applied Mathematics, or a similar field.
Experience
• 3+ years of experience with solving complex technology problems in business, essential industries, and/or health-based contexts.
• Fluency in leading programming languages, such as Java, C++, and Python
• Experience creating, modifying, and testing code and scripts that allow computer applications to run.
• Experience working with software engineers and developers to designs for a computer program into user-friendly instructions.
Job Objective
The purpose of this requirement is to establish the organization's analytical, statistical, and programming capabilities to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to develop data-driven solutions to difficult strategic challenges.
Responsibilities
• Invent and design new approaches to computing technology, such as developing and/or simplifying algorithms, and finding innovative uses for existing technology.
• Study and solve complex problems.
• Cross-functional team member comprised of data scientists, data engineers, and data science engineers, including members with domain and design skillsets that perform the outlined tasks in the SOW (PWS 3.0, 5.2)
Minimum Job Requirements/Technical Requirements
• Experience with programming, data structures, algorithms, software security, and operating systems.
• Preferred requirements include experience with software engineering, experimental design, algorithms, databases, and modeling.
• Experience working as a member of a cross-functional team.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of statistics.
• Possess good technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience with machine learning and AI
• Excellent attention to detail
Education & Certification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field.
Security Clearance
Active DoD SECRET Clearance is required
