In response to regulatory imperatives, the Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) initiative was launched to define and achieve end-to-end wholesale credit risk framework. One of the WCR initiatives is to define and implement Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) data and technology strategy and design the target state architecture to improve quality of data. This individual will lead CCR transformation initiatives on behalf of Risk Management with active partnership with In-business Risk, Risk Management, Technology and Chief Data Office.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Counterparty Credit Risk target state discussions with first line risk management and develop strategies for CCR target state architecture
• Develop a strong rapport with risk management heads, industry leads, limit monitoring, risk reporting teams and In-business Credit Management partners
• Engage with first and second line risk management to determine, design the target state CCR architecture and deliver on critical solution aspects for all CCR products
• Develop a cohesive data consumption strategy from first line systems (business systems) to second line systems (risk systems)
• Manage the presentation of design principles, to seniors in risk management and other key stakeholders
• Represent risk at the data architecture working sessions and steering committee
• Eliminate all manual touchpoints and enrichments within Risk. Develop a plan for all credit attributes to be derived by first line systems
• Develop a plan to make daily data usable on a T+1 basis
• Define business requirements and work with technology to develop project plans related with system enhancements
Qualifications:
• 10+ year experience in the areas of credit risk management, project management and technology implementations
• 5+ year experience in managing teams and leading large-scale programs
• In-depth understanding of technology systems, data flows, data structures and data manipulation
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals outlined by management
• Understanding of banking products, credit risk systems and concepts
• Broad understanding of various Markets and Securities Services products
• Analytical individual with ability to model data and draw conclusions
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with demonstrated experience in executing against tight deadlines and managing issue escalation
• High level of personal integrity, proven dedication to excellence, leadership qualities and a flexible, creative, innovative personality
