Behavioral Health Technician – Residential Treatment Facility

Job Summary:
Supervise and provide a safe and therapeutic environment for children and adolescents admitted to Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). Support the improvement of resident's overall physical, psychological, spiritual and social well-being through therapeutic interactions guided by the residents' person-centered treatment plans. Assist residents in achieving desired outcomes for an overall healthier quality of life. Collaborate with staff and individual residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
+Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's level program in Human Services, Education, or Special Education, Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Behavioral Sciences and be within one (1) year of obtaining degree from date of hire. If degree is not earned within one (1) year from the date of hire, then the person would not be able to continue in the position; OR One (1) year of direct care experience working at PRTF or a similar facility
AND
+Pass applied behavior analysis competency assessment designed by Senior Behavior Analyst
+Prefer training in and experience with applied behavior analysis services and experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders.
