The Co-Op student will provide technical support and development for an internal project.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform engineering tasks including writing and testing software, creating software tools, updating drawings and documentation
• Analyze design documents and system-level requirements and implement those designs into a software application
• Gather data and analyze existing processes and procedures in order to visualize the flow of a project and translate that visualization into an interactive application
• Provide administrative and technical support to Engineering department
• Assist other departments, when needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program in an Engineering discipline, preferably Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge with web-based programming languages (PHP, Javascript, etc.)
• Knowledge with SQL/Access database
• Knowledge with Microsoft PowerApps and Flow
• Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications
• Must have diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Must be customer service-oriented
• Must have communication skills
• Ability to work with supervision
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Sit down for lengths of time.
• May be to climb stairs.
• Ability to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator
• Ability to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground).
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
