Job Summary:
The IT Field Services Lead I will be responsible for the management and implementation of the Company's Field Service digital programs for multiple countries or region(s). Will work cross-functionally within GE and/or the Company to define requirements of field service software tools, coordinate deployment of devices, software and training, and ensure a feedback loop exists for continuous improvement from the field employee to the software developers and training department. Will identify, pilot, and industrialize new Field Innovations to drive automation and productivity. Will collaborate across the globe within Company regions and other Company functions such as EHS, Quality, Resource Operations, and regional GE Field Service Excellence Leaders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Lead the analysis and the definition of requirements for the development of field service IT tools and applications
• Work across GE businesses, Company regions, and software development groups, GE and FC IT departments, FC Resource Operations, Training, and other associated businesses to develop new Field Service tools and applications
• Industrialize new Field IT Innovations (Merged/virtual reality, visual management dashboards, etc.) to Company regions and be a champion for change
• Lead change management for the implementation of new Field Service IT tools, applications, and best practices within their respective region(s), including regional strategy, deployment, communication, training, and post go live support
• Manage the implementation of new Field Service tools, applications, and best practices within FC
• Participate in and coordinate FC's involvement in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Manage the resolution of technical issues identified by FC field employees
• Create and manage a continuous improvement process between FC field employees and GE software developers
• Develop, track, and maintain Key Performance Indicators for the Service Excellence team
• Travel may be required
• May be assigned other duties to help drive our Company vision and align with our organization's core values
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience in field services or information systems roles in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years in field service or information systems development
• 2+ years of specialized/industry experience
• Experience with development and implementation of iPad Application based mobility platforms for field service
• English proficiency required
