Job Description
Full Vehicle Dismantler I: • Must have 1 - 2 years experience and will work on FWD cars and domestic.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude.
• May be asked to perform any or all tasks from Level I and Level II.
• Use of medium forklift for purposed of moving cars into the bay or lift area.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a faced paced work environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to take initiative and be goal orientated.
• Tools required but not limited to: basic tool set, impact (battery or air powered) sockets (metric), Torx bits, axle sockets, pliers, hammers, pry bars. Portable tool box or better. Rolling, locking tool box.
Full Vehicle Dismantler II:
• Must have 2 years or more experience and will work on HD Trucks, Trucks, Imports, SUVs, FWD cars and domestic.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude.
• May be asked to perform any or all tasks from Level I - Level III.
• Use of medium forklift for purposed of moving cars into the bay or lift area.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a faced paced work environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to take initiative and be goal orientated.
• Tools required but not limited to: basic tool set, impact (battery or air powered) sockets (metric), Torx bits, axle sockets, pliers, hammers, pry bars, various speciality tools for Level II vehicles, scanner.
Full Vehicle Dismantler III:
• Must have 4 years or more experience and will work on HD Trucks, Trucks, Imports, SUVs, FWD cars and domestic.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude.
• May be asked to perform any or all tasks from Level I - Level IV.
• Use of large forklift and smaller forklift for moving cars into the bay or lift area from yard to processing.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a faced paced work environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to take initiative and be goal orientated.
• Tools required but not limited to: basic tool set, impact (battery or air powered) sockets (metric), Torx bits, axle sockets, pliers, hammers, pry bars, various speciality tools for Level III vehicles, scanner.
Job Duties for all levels:
• Responsible for complete dismantle of vehicle per dismantling report. Does so without damage to parts or to machinery.
• Must verify the identification numbers of any parts that are designated “ck id#.”
• Must be able to “lift start” vehicles for testing and video documentation.
• Must test and verify the quality of every part pulled.
• Must document the part removal process, on paper.
• Must communicate to the Inventory person the condition of parts pulled. Must mark and tag parts correctly.
• Must keep work area clean and free of safety hazards.
• Must daily demonstrate an attitude of professionalism and teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
