Job Description
Securities Associate - Tampa, Madison, or Miami
Foley & Lardner is seeking an associate with 2 - 5 years of experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Tampa, Madison, or Miami office. Foley's Transactions Practice Group is integrated nationally and principally handles M&A and securities matters for publicly and privately held middle market/upper middle market companies, private equity funds, family offices and others. As a result, this position will involve working on US and international transactions with Foley lawyers in various Foley offices. Qualified candidates must have significant securities compliance/public company experience and M&A/transactional experience, in addition to general corporate and contract counseling experience. The ideal candidate also will have strong document drafting skills, a desire to train and mentor younger associates, and the ability to manage transactions and complex projects. The candidate must be comfortable with direct interaction with both senior partners and clients and have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic, coupled with a desire to be part of a fast-paced, growing and collaborative environment. To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the bar of the state in which the candidate is admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Florida Bar or Wisconsin Bar, as applicable, will be a condition of employment.
