Organizational Summary:
Central Human Resources (CHR) provides university-wide strategic development of policies, procedures, and programs for the core HR functions, which includes the main campus in Tampa, USF Health and the branch campuses in St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee. Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter will serve as an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team by providing full-cycle recruitment service for the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus focusing on Research roles. The incumbent will partner with hiring managers to implement new recruiting strategies and processes to fill exempt and non-exempt positions. The Recruiter will also research, develop, and implement effective strategies to develop high quality diverse talent pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle recruitment for the Tampa campus Research teams through the creative and cost-effective sourcing methods to fill exempt and non-exempt positions. Proactively partner with hiring managers to identify current and future hiring needs.
Develop and maintain internal and external networks to ensure a strong pipeline of diverse candidates. Plans and attends campus recruiting events, including career fairs, on-campus interviews, or networking events. Reviews and assesses applicants' education, experience, training, and other qualifications. Informs candidates of job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation and benefits packages, and career advancement opportunities. Represents the organization on campus or within the community and positions the organization as an employer of choice.
Use innovative sourcing and marketing/branding techniques to engage both active and passive candidates using sourcing tools include but not limited to: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Glassdoor. Track, monitor, and report ongoing recruiting activities through the disciplined use of the Applicant Tracking System to ensure data integrity for metrics/reporting.
Assess position requirements and candidate qualifications to ensure alignment with requirements and provide insightful candidate assessments. Interview applicants to evaluate work history, education, training and job skills.
Position Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and two years of HR related experience; or a Masters degree. Six years of HR related experience or a combination of education and experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with at least five years of high-volume recruitment/talent acquisition experience.
• Experience working with an Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably PeopleSoft.
• Significant experience using the full recruiting capabilities of LinkedIn and other recruiting tools.
• Strong ability with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
