Based at Moffitt Cancer Center at AdventHealth Celebration, and working collaboratively with AdventHealth staff and administration, the Partnerships Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. This position will support the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and the Research Clinic.# Position Highlights: Assists physicians with the evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities. Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s). The ideal candidate would work closely and partner with other medical professionals involved with the#CRU and the Research Clinic; this includes in-house medical professionals and Providers of the Practice Groups that refer patients. ## The displayed ability to build and sustain trust and collegial relationships with a diverse group of professionals Flexible and adaptable to a constantly changing clinical environment; to ensure superior patient care is managed safely and empathetically; and be able to interact with colleagues in a cordial # professional manner. Remain open to suggestions offered by senior staff members and physicians; as the Practice evolves and develops.# #Responsibilities: Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with many specialists to coordinate and deliver compassionate, empathetic, diligent and exemplary patient care Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice Provide clinical examinations, and collect clinical samples for studies Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules Be able to identify and treat infusion reactions Regularly attend and contribute to tumor boards and other meetings necessary for an effective CRU and the Research Clinic operation Familiarize and track the various clinical trial protocols open at the CRU, and work closely with clinical trials coordinators and related to facilitate screening Screen patients of the physician practice groups and work closely with the physician practice groups to identify patients to enroll to clinical trials; making oneself available and able to visit patients in their clinics, to facilitate the screening and enrollment # Credentials and Qualifications: Master#s degree advanced nursing; Ph.D. degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program. Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body. Active BLS and ACLS. Preferred:# Experience in the outpatient care of adult internal medicine and cancer patients. Preferred:# Candidates with Clinical Trials Experience.
