Full Job Description The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is looking for a reliable, dedicated, motivated and flexible individual to join our Community Outreach team. The Outreach coordinator is responsible for supporting the Community Outreach manager with onsite/offsite job duties including cat colony assessments, and trapping/transport of community cats in Hillsborough County. This position will also partake in animal rescue calls which includes picking up sick or injured animals within the community.
•
Participate in mass trapping and follow through on recovery.
• Coordinate and promote the Barn Cat Program.
• Cleaning of the feral cat patio and the feral cat traps.
• Preparing the cat tags and board numbers.
• Responding in a timely and proficient manner with phone calls and emails, counseling clients regarding trapping, sterilization, post-operative recovery and the releasing of cats.
• Assist clients with renting out and checking in traps and educating on usage of traps.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles when in use.
• Responsible for a maintaining all necessary equipment in the company vehicle.
• Cover for the Community Outreach Manager when she is out of the office which includes going into precarious places such as: attics, storm drains, etc.
• Using the company vehicle to transport to return cats to their neighborhoods which helps to support the community cat program.
• Provide information and resources for people interested in TNVR.
• Must be able to work with various temperaments
• Local Travel required
• Other duties as assigned by the CEO.
MUST have a valid driver's license and cleaning driving record.
